Paddlewheel Pizza Parlor Tokens

Paddlewheel Pizza Parlor was a riverboat-themed pizza restaurant tied to the Roll On America roller rinks in southern New England. The best-documented location was at 210 Bridge Street in Groton, Connecticut, where Lewis Quintin Jr. and Kenneth Perkins, who had reopened a 1950s rink there as Roll On America in 1977, added the Paddlewheel during a 1985 renovation. A second Paddlewheel is remembered at the Roll On America rink in Lancaster, Massachusetts. In keeping with the showboat theme, the restaurant's stage featured Daniel and the Dixie Diggers, Sally Corporation's animatronic Dixieland jazz band. Roll On America in Groton folded around 1988, and the rink went on as Skatetown USA and later Galaxy.
