CEC & SPP Token Guide

Joe Lewis created original Chuck E. Cheese & Showbiz Pizza Place Token Guide over the course of more than a decade. It was last updated in 2019 and an archival copy can be downloaded here: CEC & SPP Token Guide. This comprehensive resource has served as the foundation for much of the token identification and classification information found here.

cectokencollectors.com

Dean Kinest digitized all of the content from the Joe Lewis guide onto his website cectokencollectors.com and then expanded it over the next several years. Dean discovered hundreds of new tokens and added a dozen or so related brands to the catalog. He also conducted in depth research and documentation of the Santa Anna token referred to on his site as the Santa Anna Project. In addition to tokens, Dean maintains a robust catalog of tickets and other promotional items on his site.

showbizpizza.com

An extensive archive of ShowBiz Pizza Place history and memorabilia. This site was especially helpful in identifying related brands with Rock-afire explosion bands.

chucke.fandom.com

The Chuck E. Cheese fan wiki, which provides detailed historical information about the brand, its characters, and locations throughout the years.

arcadetokens.net

A broader arcade token reference that has helped contextualize CEC tokens within the wider world of arcade and amusement tokens.

Token Images

The images featured in this catalog primarily showcase tokens from my personal collection. This approach ensures consistency in photography and allows us to provide detailed, high-quality images for identification purposes.

We also welcome and encourage user-submitted images, particularly for rare tokens that may not be available in my collection. If you have a token variant we're missing, please consider contributing an image to help fellow collectors.

Community Contributors

This catalog would not be possible without the broader token collecting community. Collectors who share their finds, correct errors, and contribute knowledge make resources like this possible. Thank you to everyone who has participated in building our collective understanding of CEC token history.
